1. Change engine oil
2. Clean or replace air filter
3. Adjust valves
4. Check and set engine RPM
5. Drain fuel system and clean float bowl (optional-winterize with fuel conditioner)
6. Check recoil rope condition, replace if needed
7. Adjust and lube cables, check operation (free movement)
8. Check blade condition, sharpen or replace
9. Clean out grass buildup from cutter housing
10. Check condition of all wheel bearings
11. Check drive ratchets and springs
12. Check electric starting system (as applicable)
13. Check all fasteners (nuts & bolts) for condition and tightness
14. Check belts, idlers, pulleys, lube (as applicable)
15. Check deck level (as applicable)
16. Final operation and safety check
